It seems every once in a while, players always find a new way to beat Elden Ring’s hardest bosses. Just recently, someone beat Malenia just by using a controller and a dance pad. Yes, you read that right!

A Twitch streamer named MissMikkaa beat not one but two Malenias in FromSoftware’s game. Mind you, Malenia is arguably the hardest boss in the game. Beating it is without a doubt a feat in itself already and the streamer even did this with just a controller and a dance pad.

MissMikkaa was able to complete the feat during an Ultimate Challenge Run. Basically, she was playing “two Elden Ring games simultaneously” and she did so by using different controllers (dance pad and PS5 DualSense). Moreover, she had to kill the “bosses on the same try on both game instances.”

You can watch her victory in the video below:

The Elden Ring player also revealed that it took her three days and 199 attempts before finally and successfully defeating the boss. For those interested to know about the build she went for, the streamer revealed that she chose a bleed build. She used the Flamberge greatsword and the Seppuku Ash of War, as well as the White Mask she acquired from one of the war surgeons located near Mohg’s mausoleum.

Seppuku, in particular, can increase the character’s damage output and induce blood loss; hence the name of the build. The build also made sense as blood loss is one of the few ailments Malenia is weak to. The Elden Ring streamer also went for a substantial HP increase and some very modest stamina improvements. Meanwhile, FP is not really an issue here as the build does not really make use of it.

This is not the first time MissMikkaa used a dance pad to play Elden Ring. Even before the Malenia run, she already used a dance pad to beat the game. Now, she is planning to take on the Radagon or Elden Beast next. It is interesting to see what other challenges – and gadgets while at it – she would jump into in the near future.
