'Dragon Ball Super' Anime's New Arc Releases In February; ‘Universe Survival’ Saga Promo Streamed

With the conclusion of the Future Trunks arc in the Dragon Ball Super anime, the official website to the animated series streamed a promo for the next saga coming to the popular anime.

The new promo video was first aired during the Jump Festa (the same event that announced the upcoming new Yu-Gi-Oh! series) -- via Anime News Network -- and will introduce the "Universe Survival Saga”, which begins on Feb. 5.

Check out the latest Dragon Ball Super anime promo for the upcoming new arc.

The promo goes through every Dragon Ball Super saga since its debut in 2015 and then teases some key players through some panels and pages from the Dragon Ball Super manga.

Accompanying the latest promo is a key visual that shows the strongest fighters of Universe 7 including Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Krillin, Android 17, Android 18, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Master Roshi, and Majin Buu as Universe 7's most powerful team.

The official Dragon Ball Super website also had this summary of what the Universe Survival Saga will be about and it looks like we’re getting another tournament.

“According to an invitation that Goku gets, Zen-Oh is starting a martial arts tournament between all the universes called "Chikara no Taikai" (Tournament of Power). But it is the beginning of universal destruction. Something awaits the winners and losers of this tournament. What will become of this fierce team battle between each universe's elite warriors?”

Adult Swim announced the final arc of Dragon Ball Z Kai would be airing in January and then be followed by the premiere of the English dub of the Dragon Ball Super anime starring some of the series’ most recognizable voices.
