Viz media will release the Dragon Ball Super manga, the company announced at Anime Expo 2016. Other new titles that Viz will be adding include Gundam Thunderbol t, The Water Dragon’s Bride , and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V . Dragon Ball Super pretends the atrocity that was Dragon Ball GT never happened and takes place 18 years after Goku defeats Majin Buu. That means no pink furry hair or even a Super Saiyan four.
Via Anime News Network , Viz has shared the first two chapters of Dragon Ball Super on its website , while it plans to publish the manga on Shonen Jump in spring 2017. What’s more, a Revolutionary Girl Utena special edition manga set will be available in spring 2017 as well.
Dragon Ball Super starts off with the Battle of Five Gods movie that pits Lord Beerus, a giant purple cat god against Goku. Reading the manga after watching the movie really shows how much they had to leave out. I would have loved to see a giant chubby Beerus on the big screen.
