Dontnod Entertainment, the French-based video game developer that is known for making high-quality Telltale-like games, has six games currently in production. The company's latest releases have been episodic games that emphasize their story. Their first release, Remember Me, was kind of underwhelming. However, they knocked it out of the park with their second offering, Life Is Strange, which received critical reception from both fans and critics.

Oskar Guilbert, the CEO of Dontnod Entertainment, recently talked with GamesBeat where he claimed that the studio has six games in the oven. This is quite surprising as Dontnod isn’t exactly a big team. As of 2020 there are only 250 employees at Dontnod. Six games in production doesn't always mean six releases, though. There is a very good chance that some of these games might be abandoned or canceled.

Guilbert also claimed that not all the games in development are like Life Is Strange. Dontnod is expanding its horizons and some of the games might be from different genres. “We don't want to stick to the same thing every time," Guilbert said to GamesBeat. "We innovate. We are reinventing ourselves in terms of quality, mechanics, and technology. Finding new ways of telling stories is really important.”

Dontnod has released three more games since Life Is Strange. While all of the games received a positive reception, none of them were as critically acclaimed as the OG Life is Strange. Making six games at once can be very troublesome for even a large team, let alone a small one. We just hope that we don’t see another Telltale scenario, where the company goes bankrupt due to bad management.

The developers will be self-publishing their latest title, Twin Mirror. Episode 1 of Twin Mirror will launch on December 1 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The PC version will remain exclusive to the Epic Games Store for one year before making its way to Steam.

So what do you think? Are you excited about Twin Mirror? Will you be interested in any other product that Dontnod releases? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
