Dive Deep As Aquanox Deep Descent Is Set For An October 16 Release

Time to dive and fight.
Time to dive and fight. Nordic

There have been games that offer fights on land, the high seas, and even in space. Aquanox Deep Descent changes things up a little and goes deep into the ocean as a first-person underwater vehicle shooter. It’s going to be a fight in Earth’s final frontier. Aquanox Deep Descent is arriving to the PC on October 16 for $29.99.

Aquanox Deep Descent is part of the AquaNox series. The franchise had its start with Archimedean DynastyI, which was released in 1996. The first use of the AquaNox title was with the 2001 release. A demo of Aquanox Deep Descent was first released during Gamescom 2014. Development of the game was made possible through a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2015.

This latest version of Aquanox follows the story of an Earth that’s been flooded and all that’s left of humanity are living under the sea in former research and mining stations. Instead of learning from the past, it appears old habits die hard as humans continue to wage war against each other for whatever resources are left along with being the dominant group.

Aquanox Deep Descent has players take control of a team of highly trained pilots who must take down enemies using torpedoes, mortars, mines, and other weapons.

Features of Deep Descent include being able to experience underwater vehicle combat using different play styles. Players can choose to play solo or with four-player drop-in co-op where the team can use four unique pilots that are involved in the story as well. Players can also customize their ship and put in the needed upgrades in order to fit whatever play style they want. Players can also test their mettle with classic multiplayer modes like Deathmatch and even Team Deathmatch Dogfighting.

It’s not all fighting, as there are also opportunities to explore, salvage, and even collect loot.

To make sure that you can run Aquanox Deep Descent, here are the recommended system requirements:
