Less than a month after its official release, Devil May Cry 5 received a massive free update earlier this week. This update comes complete with bug fixes, performance improvements, and what we’re most excited about, an all-new game mode. Named ‘Bloody Palace’, the official trailer from Capcom is below.

The Bloody Palace is a challenging game mode where players must face hordes of enemies as they climb each of the gauntlet’s 101 floors. The game mode features preset enemies and bosses, and allows players to choose from any of the game’s playable characters. Currently, that’s just Nero, Dante, and V, but we have a feeling more characters will be added to the game over time. To unlock the Bloody Palace, players must first clear the main game on either Human or Devil Hunter difficulty modes.

The Bloody Palace update has seen some great reviews so far. The new game mode was promised by Capcom not long after the game’s original release, and the developer delivered. The Bloody Palace gauntlet is a free content release available to anyone who owns the game, and while there no official word on what else Capcom has in store for Devil May Cry 5, players can rest assured that there’s a lot more coming their way. Datamines have revealed plenty of new features and new characters for Devil May Cry 5, so we’ll just have to wait and see, and watch the game grow with future updates.

Devil May Cry 5 launched just last month on March 8, and is currently available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC through Steam. So far, the game has received positive reviews on all platforms, and with Capcom doing a great job with constant updates and content releases, there’s plenty more to look forward to. Here at Player One, we can’t wait to see how each Devil Hunter might fare against some of the bosses that are reserved for other protagonists in the main game, but we’d like to know what you think. Will you be taking on the challenge of the Bloody Palace and its 101 floors? Who will you be taking with you - will it be Nero, Dante, or V? Let us know in the comments section below!
