The name and first promotional artwork for Destiny’s next expansion were leaked to the public on Thursday, via a new thread on the game’s sub-reddit, and it seems we already have some confirmation that Destiny: Rise Of Iron will be the big new Destiny release for 2016.

If there was any doubt as to whether Bungie was planning to release a new Destiny expansion this year, it seems it’s officially been put to rest. New artwork for Destiny: Rise Of Iron, the third major expansion for Bungie’s shared-world shooter, was leaked to reddit on Thursday afternoon. Details on the expansion remain scarce at this time. In fact, the only thing that anyone seems to be able to confirm is that the artwork isn’t fake. But what exactly will players find waiting for them in Destiny: Rise Of Iron when the expansion debuts later this year?

According to Kotaku, which claims to have verified the photo’s authenticity with sources at Bungie, Rise Of Iron will be much larger than either of the Year One expansions released by the studio. Activision and Bungie were apparently planning to reveal Rise Of Iron during E3 2016, despite the fact that Activision will not have a significant presence at the show. Presumably, that means we can expect to see the next Destiny expansion during one of the major press conferences. It’s not clear just how much larger Rise of Iron will be, than The Dark Below or House Of Wolves, and even Kotaku isn’t sure if the game’s fourth expansion will be comparable to the near-complete overhaul of Destiny we saw when The Taken King debuted last fall.

The site also claims that the next Destiny expansion will feature the raid that was originally trimmed from the House of Wolves expansion, repurposed to fit the events portrayed in Rise Of Iron, and is believed to tie into the Iron Banner PvP event somehow. The first revealed artwork for the expansion features Lord Saladin, the vendor associated with the Iron Banner, clutching a fiery hammer in what appears to be Old Russia.
