Destiny 2's upcoming Season of the Worthy is not just bringing a new season, but also a host of additional changes. These include additional power levels, Exotic armor changes, overhauls, and various ways of earning pinnacle-grade rewards. In addition to that, the update will also change how some Eververse items are sold and increase the number of gear available in the world drop pool.

With the drop of Season of the Worthy, the Power cap will be increased up to 1,000 and pinnacle gear will go up to 1,010. There will also be a new soft Power cap at level 950. Once players reach level 950, the only way of increasing your level further is by earning powerful or pinnacle-grade rewards.

To make this level cap attainable, Bungie is also introducing new ways you can earn pinnacle grade rewards. There will also be a mid-season update that will upgrade weekly Crucible, Strike, Gambit, and clan challenges to pinnacle rewards. Up until now, the only way you could earn pinnacle-grade rewards was by completing end-game activities like the Nightfall, raids, and Iron Banner. However, the upcoming Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris PvP mode will also reward you with Pinnacle-grade gear. Additionally, the update will also "increase the pools of items that can drop in the pinnacle band."

The developer has also said that it is keeping an eye on pinnacle redundancy protection to prevent players from getting multiple pieces of the same armor consecutively. Talking about armor changes, the world drops will now include 11 armor sets instead of the previous three. Bungie has stated, "several sets that were previously unavailable or extremely difficult to acquire are now available as world drops."

There's isn't an official confirmation as to when this update will go live, but one thing is certain that reaching level 1,010 will not be as painful as before.

In addition to all of these changes, Bungie is also introducing substantial changes to Destiny 2 in the Season of the Worthy update. You can read all these changes in Bungie's blog post.
