Destiny 2’s most popular PvP events, Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner, are making a comeback this weekend with new weapons for players to earn.
But before anything else, congratulations to Clan Elysium for acquiring the World First title. The fireteam of Saltagreppo, Slap, Kyros, Moople, Quazz, and Cruz has cleared the newly added Vows of Disciple raid by three minutes ahead of the competition.
New Weapons
As mentioned earlier, the Trials of Osiris returns this weekend. All of the new weapons in the Trials pool will have the Alacrity and One Quiet Moment origin traits. Alacrity is a tier-one trait because it not only increases reload speed but also provides stability and aim assist. This is perfect for those who are generally not that good at aiming. One Quiet Moment, on the other hand, grants players increased reload speed when they’re not in active combat.
Two weapons were mentioned in Bungie's weekly post. The first is Aisha’s Embrace - a 260 RPM Rapid-fire Scout Rifle that has a chance of getting the Triple Tap and Fourth Time’s the Charm weapon perks. It is capable of acquiring the Tunnel Vision and Multikill Clip combo as well.
The other weapon is a 600 RPM Adaptive Frame Auto Rifle. Although it is not named in the recent Destiny 2 TWAB, the auto rifle in question is most likely the Summoner. In addition, the developers have removed this weapon’s less popular perks in favor of some favorites, such as Heating Up and Focused Fury.
Aside from Trials, the Iron Banner has new weapons up for grabs. All of the new weapons will have the Skulking Wolf trait, which provides an enhanced radar during the Hunt. Players who land final blows will be removed from the enemy’s radar for a brief period as well.
There are two new weapons that players should get their hands on. The Frontier’s Cry is a 180 RPM Precision Frame Hand Cannon that comes with some really good perks, including Steady Hands and Compulsive Reloader. The other weapon is the Razor’s Edge Sword. This is the first Void Vortex Frame sword in a while that comes with some potent perk combinations, like Wellspring and Chain Reaction.
Lastly, the Eternity and Vostok maps have returned.
Bungie Name Change
Players who want to change their current Bungie Name can do so for one time only. Here are the steps:
- Log into Bungie.net
- Navigate to Profile Settings > Identity Settings > change the Bungie Name
- After making the changes, click “Save Settings” at the bottom of the page
