Developer Bungie revealed a detailed plan on how to make Enhancement Cores a lot easier to obtain in Destiny 2. However, most fans are suggesting the new changes are not necessarily enough to make a difference in the scarcity issues that Enhancement Cores bring.

Basically, players have been clamoring about how difficult it is to obtain Enhancement Cores, which are required for infusing gear to higher levels in the game. The requirement can also be very limiting when it comes to allowing players to use loadouts and/or gear that they want to enhance.

Bungie said that scarcity issues are necessary in order to make the idea of infusing gear more impactful. With the upcoming changes, the studio claims that Enhancement Cores are more balanced for players looking to find more of them. The developer added that the only way to make this balance existent is by making these cores a guaranteed drop from newly-introduced Gunsmith bounties, which replaced Scrapper bounties.

Interestingly, there are those who believe that Enhancement Cores in Destiny 2 are serving their purpose. These players believe that constant infusing of gears is not the best way to go. Rather, it should be about being selective with infusion.

There are also Destiny 2 players who claim that the upcoming changes will not be useful. In fact, a decent number of players have proposed the idea of completely removing Enhancement Cores from the game. And while these players were able to develop different methods of farming these cores before, they are not necessarily willing to go to these lengths now.

Based on the plan Bungie revealed, it seems the removal of Enhancement Cores is unlikely to happen in Destiny 2 right now. This is most especially noticable since the developer is in favor of having scarcity, as it makes the value of Infusion more significant.

So what do you think? What would you like to see happen with Enhancement Cores? Are you in favor of removing them from Destiny 2? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
