The DC Universe is joining the match-3 puzzle RPG trend with DC Heroes & Villains. Officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, it’s sure to bring a smile to any DC fan with an original story that features the likes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, and the Joker.

The game is set to be available sometime in early 2022 through Google Play and the App Store. Those interested can now pre-register and receive special bonus items at launch.

As mentioned, DC Heroes & Villains offer players an original narrative and bring everyone to iconic locations like the back alleys of Gotham City and the depths of the sea in Atlantis. The story has players form the ultimate power team after a mysterious pulse stripped away all superpowers.

Strategy is key as players need to work their way across robust gameplay filled with challenging single-player match-3 battles. There are also team events where players need to rally their guildmates to defeat bosses and earn epic rewards.

Everyone can also look forward to scheduled live events like PVP matches and Guild Raids. This should bring DC fans around the world to engage in combat and get those exclusive rewards in-game.

In a statement, Ludia CEO Alex Thabet shared that they are proud to reveal this latest title as it showcases the best of what they have to offer. Thabet added that this game has the innovative technologies and engaging gameplay that they’ve been known for. He went on to say that DC fans can expect a new perspective not only on the characters and environments but even the lore.

Meanwhile, Jam City co-founder and CEO Chris DeWolfe revealed that they were truly impressed with the game as it showcases the talent and creativity of Ludia. He added that DC fans have the chance to come up with their very own dream teams through this match-3 RPG.

Ludia is a Canadian mobile video game studio responsible for games like Jurassic World Alive, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Legends, and DreamWorks Dragons: Rise of Berk. It was acquired by Jam City in September 2021.
