It’s nice to take a breather from E3 once in a while, and give focus to some of the Japanese developers who couldn’t make it to the mostly Western event.

Case in point – Cygames, a developer who’s moving from mobile games into a wider market on consoles, has just announced that they will be attending the upcoming Anime Expo 2019. The expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the same venue as E3, from July 4 to July 7. For the most part, Cygames has announced that they will be featuring a playable demo of their highly anticipated fighting game on the PlayStation 4, co-developed with fighting game veterans Arc System Works: Granblue Fantasy Versus.

In addition to playable demos for Granblue Fantasy Versus, attendees for the event will be able to take photos with various cosplayers and purchase exclusive Granblue merchandise. Of course, die-hard fans of the series who will be in attendance won’t want to miss the special Granblue Fantasy panel featuring both the producer and creative director of the game.

Yuito Kimura, who is the producer for the Granblue Fantasy series, is also the executive director of Cygames and is one of the founding members of the company. Tetsuya Fukuhara is the creative director for Granblue Fantasy, and is best known for his work on projects such as Rage of Bahamut, where he started off as a designer. Together, they will be present at the Granblue Fantasy panel, titled ‘Dive into the World of Granblue Fantasy!’ It will be held on July 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PDT, and held at Live Programming 5, also known as 404AB.

The panel will be the very first time that Cygames will be communicating with its Granblue Fantasy fanbase in North America, so that’s another reason die-hard fans shouldn’t miss this event. While it is expected that the panel will mostly talk about the incoming release of Granblue Fantasy Versus, we will also most likely hear about the ongoing development of Granblue Fantasy Relink, an upcoming action title also being developed for the PlayStation 4.

In the meantime, XSEED Games has recently announced that they will be publishing Granblue Fantasy Versus for the West, and will also be bringing it to their show floor on E3 this year.
