There's no denying that Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most memorable gaming disasters recently. The game was laden with bugs at launch and general complaints regarding its disappointing performance on consoles. Despite multiple delays, the shipped product did not meet quality expectations as it had numerous bugs and cut content. Many fans even wondered if another delay could have helped the game.

While the game had hundreds of annoying bugs, the one that topped it all was the problematic police AI. Unlike other open-world games where police AI was quite controlled, allowing the player to escape police chases or enter cooldown by breaking line of sight, the AI in Cyberpunk 2077 was completely broken. The police AI would spawn anywhere you commit a crime and in case of a crime chase, you could pretty much lose the police just by running across a few blocks or turning around your camera.

According to a recently leaked Cyberpunk 2077 pre-alpha footage, an interesting detail about crime control was unveiled. Although the video is a pain to watch due to buggy scenes and NSFW content, it has showcased how running over an NPC triggered a Level 1 Bounty. It seemed that when the bounty was activated, it would reveal the player's location, and depending on the severity of the crime, heftier bounties were supposed to be put on the player allowing for an intense police-criminal experience.

Of course, we all know that this feature did not make it into the game. But it would be great to see if the developers could push this feature with an update.

Speaking of the leak itself, it appears that the montage was stolen when reports surfaced stating the CDPR was attacked by a team of hackers, who claim to have possession of numerous files including the game source code.
