Cyberpunk 2077 Filled with Bugs

In the current state of the pre-release copy, Cyberpunk 2077 is plagued with bugs. While most reviews show the game in a positive light, they haven't overlooked these bugs. Expectedly, fans have started to worry about the game, which was in development for nine years. Some of the bugs encountered while playing the game include:

  • Floating weapons
  • Glitches in First-Person
  • Visual NPC Glitches
  • Game Crashes
  • Missing Stats
  • AI Combat Issues

An article further states that the game also has a variety of game-breaking bugs. Some of these are scripting errors, disappearing UI elements, and FOV issues.

What CD Projekt Red Has to Say?

As reviews started talking about bugs, CDPR's Fabian Mario Döhla took to Twitter to reassure players that the developer has a day-one update ready for Cyberpunk 2077. It will deal with bugs and dramatically improve the game. Döhla said too that many of these glitches are a result of running the game at a higher system setting than recommended.

His tweet reads: "We had those issues in Germany, too. It’s mainly streaming issues - when the settings are too high for your setup the game is unable to stream the content and stuff starts to go missing (animations, audio, lipsync, objects). Adjust settings and it works waaaay smoother."

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on December 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Google Stadia.
