Yesterday was a great day for fans of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt revealed several interesting things in the latest episode of Night City Wire. We saw an English dubbed trailer of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime series. The previously announced expansion was teased, and a new update was detailed. We will discuss all of that here. You can also watch the entire episode below.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

The first and probably the last expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 was finally revealed. Phantom Liberty will release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia in 2023. Unfornaturely, PS4, and Xbox One players won’t be able to purchase it.

The expansion is a spy-thriller focused on bringing a new district of Night City; you can expect several new and returning characters. Keanu Reeves will reprise his role of Johnny Silverhand, but we don’t know how the character will be featured. Still, we sure are excited, cautiously, of course.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners

The upcoming Cyberpunk anime show will launch on Netflix on September 13. The show will feature an original story and will be canon to Cyberpunk-universe. Edgrunners is a 10-episode long story about a street kid trying to survive in a tough city. The story and writing are done by CD Projekt, and the animations are done by Studio Trigger. Check out the English dubbed NSFW Trailer below.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners Update (Patch 1.6)

Okay, don’t confuse the update with the anime show. CD Projekt released the massive Patch 1.6 on every platform, and it brought quite a lot of changes. The highly demanded Transmog feature is finally here! Several new weapons and gigs are introduced, and cross-progression is now supported. Combine all of that with a ton of bug fixes. You can check out our previous article for more information about the update.

The developer also revealed that Patch 1.6 will be the last update for past-gen consoles. But worry not because another major update is still in development for current-gen consoles and PC. The new update will bring an overhaul to police and vehicle combat. More information will be revealed at a later date.
