It has been more than two months since the Crysis Remastered Trilogy was announced. The first game of the sci-fi franchise has already been released on PC and past-gen consoles. You can also play it on current-gen consoles via backward compatibility. The complete trilogy will release this fall on all major platforms, including Nintendo Switch.

Yesterday, Crytek released a comparison video of the trilogy on the Xbox series. In the video below, you can see the difference between how the game looks on Xbox 360 and Xbox Series X. As you would expect, the first Crysis sees the biggest difference. Several changes in Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 have been made as well.

The remaster will utilize high-resolution textures and will feature visual upgrades. The 60 FPS mode will be supported, while the Dynamic Resolution will go up to 4K. Even with all these, the remasters of C2 and C3 don't look that impressive. They are similar in how these two games look on PC. The remaster of the games is nowhere near as substantial as Crysis 1 . However, we will have to wait for proper comparison videos by players and YouTubers for a more accurate look.

Fans of the long-forgotten Crysis franchise have been asking for a new game since 2013. Crysis Remastered Trilogy isn’t exactly what the fans want, but it’s still something. If this compilation does well in sales, then Crytek might be interested in making a sequel.

The only major Crysis game that hasn’t been remastered is the single-player standalone expansion of the original Crysis. Crysis Warhead continues the story of C1 with Psycho as its protagonist. The DLC received positive reception, though considered a step backward from the original game.

The last quarter of 2021 is going to be very busy. Many major AAA titles like Call of Duty Vanguard, Battlefield 2042, and Halo Infinite are releasing simultaneously. The fact that Crysis is also a first-person shooter doesn’t help.

So what do you think? Are you excited about Crysis Remastered Trilogy? On which platform will you play the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
