The world of Crusader Kings III just became even more exciting with great tournaments, royal weddings, and grand tours. With the new Tours & Tournaments expansion, there are now reasons to go out of the castle walls. This expansion is priced at $29.99 and comes with a major free update.

Tours & Tournaments further expands the game's strategy and role-playing mechanics. Players can travel across their realm to check on vassals or attend royal weddings and show loyalty to a distant lord. No matter what the activities are, each offers a new scope for intrigue while giving players new strategic routes with the possibility of improving skills or traits of characters.

Features of the new expansion include:

  • Grand Tournaments
    • Host a grand demonstration of feats of arms to attract nearby nobles and wandering knights.
    • Choose the competitions and set the destination.
    • Use the tournament to improve social standing or military prowess.
  • Grand Tours
    • Players can take a trip through their realm to take stock of their vassals and gift them with their benevolence or extort them for higher taxes.
  • Grand Weddings
    • Save gold for an elaborate ceremony that centers the real meaning of marriage which is politics. Honor the in-laws, cater to the vassals, and demonstrate power.
  • Travel System
    • Plan the route to the great activities where players can choose the safe path through civilized lands or risk everything for a more direct route through dark forests or dangerous mountains.
    • They can travel with a large entourage to highlight their importance or travel light so they can get down to business.
  • Knightly Accolades
    • Honor the best knights with special titles and accolades that give bonuses to them and the armies they lead.
  • New Armor Designs
    • New historical armor designs from across the centuries have been integrated with the new Tournament and Accolade systems.

Crusader Kings III was first released in 2020 on PC, with versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S released in 2022. It's set in the Middle Ages with players starting the game as a character in 867 or 1066. Compared to the previous game, the game map in Crusader Kings III is four times more detailed.
