The Crew 2 announced that its latest episode is now available to all players, including owners of next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Titled “The Hunt,” it’s Episode 2 of Season 1 of the game’s new format. There’s going to be an Episode 2 Motorpass along with the Chase game mode.
Time to Hunt
For those who’ve been following the events, The Crew 2 introduced a new group known as The Masked during the early part of Season 1. This is an outlaw group that’s trying to steal from Vault Corp. In Episode 1, players took on the role of being a member of the group’s Interception Unit. Players had to take down these outlaws in Street Race and Hypercar events. Learn more about The Chase here.
This time, they must up the ante and hunt the outlaws. Instead of simply being part of the team, players now become the lead driver of the Enforcer Unit.
There’s a total of eight new PvE Chase events divided between Rally Cross and Rally Raid disciplines. Players can immediately access five of them with a new event to be released every two weeks. The events are accessible through a dedicated tab in the Activities menu, through the game, or directly in the RR and RX categories.
New Stuff
With a new episode, players can expect many new vehicles and new vanity items. As enforcers, players need something that can take down the outlaws off-road. For starters, there’s the Ford F-150 SVT RAPTOR EVO1 Enforcer Unit (2010), which is already available and is an excellent choice for Rally Raid. Meanwhile, for the Rally Cross, players can behind the wheel of the Cadillac ESCALADE Enforcer Unit (2018).
Going back to Rally Raid, there’s also the Ram 1500 Rebel® TRX Concept (2017). For Street Race, there’s the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 (1994).
All vehicles mentioned are purchasable using Crew Credits or Bucks. There are more vehicle drops as the episode progresses.
New Motorpass
As mentioned, a new episode means a new Motorpass. Like with the previous episode, this multi-tiered reward system is optional and allows players to progress by finishing Daily and Seasonal Challenges. There’s a total of 50 tiers that offer Free and Premium Rewards.
New LIVE Summits
Starting today, there’s a bunch of new LIVE Summits. The first is already live and is going to put the off-road pursuit skills of players. Rewards up for grabs this week include:
