A new seasonal event is now underway in the mining sandbox game Core Keeper. Patch 0.3.6 also brings balancing improvements, quality-of-life changes, and bug fixes. Read further to learn more.

New Seasonal Event

The developers invite you to the Great Egg Hunt. This seasonal event has already started and is available until April 19.

So, what are the mechanics of the event? You must look for four different Easter eggs scattered in the world. While there are no specific coordinates, developers revealed some pieces of information that can help you in your search. Apparently, the eggs can be found in these areas:

  • Dirt Biome
  • Clay Caves
  • Forgotten Ruins
  • Azeos’ Wilderness

You must comb the sites to find the eggs. Once you’ve acquired enough Easter eggs, you can combine them to craft a mysterious Golden Egg.

The Golden Egg is a unique collectible item that you can use as a decorative piece. However, there’s more to this item than meets the eye, and that’s for you to find out!

Even though the Easter eggs will be removed from Core Keeper after the event period, the Golden Egg is yours permanently, that is if you were able to craft one.

Patch Notes

  • 4 types of easter eggs can be found and gathered in the world for a reward when combined. These eggs will be removed after the egg hunt event but any rewards will be permanent
Balancing Improvements
  • Increased the damage of the burning effect from Malugaz equipment set bonus
  • Slightly increased the amount of max health that Ghorm gains per player. The max health has not been changed in single-player mode
  • The health of Azeos crystals no longer scales with the number of players
  • Player health ratio now stays the same when max health changes
  • Digging up plants with a shovel or hoe now correctly has a chance to yield extra plants from the extra harvest chance
  • Scarlet gear set bonus now correctly gives crit chance and not attack speed
  • Fixed an issue where grass would sometimes spawn inside walls
  • Fixed an issue where hitting while holding a broken weapon would still have the reach and attack speed of the broken weapon
  • Fixed an issue where the Hologram Pod NPC could hold items if shift-clicking an item to add it to the NPC inventory. Any current items held by the Hologram Pod can be received back by destroying or releasing any placed Hologram Pod
  • Fixed an issue where talents and buffs that increase health regeneration effectiveness were not calculated correctly.

Core Keeper Patch 0.3.6 is available on PC.
