Code Vein is all set and ready to introduce its latest dungeon, Tower of Trials. This new content is expected to go live with update patch 1.20, which should release sometime around the end of December. That means there's time to learn more about this new dungeon that rewards you the Mark of Honor when completing it.
So what you can expect from this new addition to Code Vein?
Getting to the Tower
At a glance, the Tower of Trials gives players the chance to fight against different demons and bosses that they have previously encountered. This is considered a special Depths location, where players need to survive until they are able to reach the Mistle at the end.
Reaching the Tower of Trials is rather straightforward. First you need to defeat the boss found at the Gaol of the Stagnant Blood. You then need to go to Louis’s desk in the base and look for "Depths Tower of Trials" and pick it up. After that, talk to Davis to be able to get access to the Depths selection menu.
Inside the Tower
Once you get inside, you need to defeat enemies at each level, and you need to defeat all of them in order to advance to the next level. The enemies in each Tower are different and much stronger compared to when you first encountered them in the main story.
Giving it that extra difficulty is that all throughout the challenge, you won't have access to any Mistle. If you're not familiar, Mistles are basically checkpoints in Code Vein. That means you need to finish everything in one go. However, every time you defeat an enemy you get a "Mark of Respect," so at least you have that going for you.
The title can be received even if you play multiplayer, so be sure to have friends around when doing the challenge.
Update Ver 1.20
In addition to the Tower of Trials, the upcoming patch Ver 1.20 also makes additions to the body parameters when creating your character. In particular, the following parameters have been updated: height, body type, body balance, face size.
There's also additional customization content like the new accessory “YOUNG GANGAN 15th anniversary collaboration face paint.” Finally, there are also some adjustments that have been made to the parameters of some Blood Codes and the resistance parameters of partners.
Code Vein is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
