Brawlhalla is launching today what could be one of its biggest crossover events. The gang from Street Fighter joins as Epic Crossovers and brings with them new content like a new mode and a new map.

Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma are joining the battle as new challengers. Ryu is going to mirror the abilities of Petra while Chun-Li mirrors Wu Shang, and Akuma mirrors Val. As new Epic Crossovers, some things that players can expect include:

  • Ryu Epic Crossover
    • VO Lines: “My one true rival is the fight within!”
    • Weapon Skins: Fūrinkazan Gloves and Power of Will Orb.
  • Chun-Li Epic Crossover
    • VO Lines: “What’s the matter? Too many kicks to the head?”
    • Weapon Skins: Sparring Gloves and Martial Staff.
  • Akuma Epic Crossover
    • VO Lines: “Weaklings! Is there no one worth fighting?”
    • Weapon Skins: Raging Fists and Messatsu Blade.

This latest crossover introduces a new game mode which is also featured as Brawl of the Week. In Street Brawl, players go on a 1v1 fight. Each player has three stocks each and the first one to get three KOs in eight minutes wins.

Other contents released as part of the new crossover are:

  • KO Effect
    • Knockout
  • Emote
    • Satsui no Hado
  • Podium
    • Kapukon Yu
  • Avatars
    • Quarter Circle Punch
    • The Red Cyclone
    • HADOKEN!
    • Shadaloo

New Feature

The new crossover arrives in the game courtesy of a new update which also brings a new feature known as Rematch. With this, players can now have a rematch against their opponents in Ranked 1v1 and Ranked 2v2 games. Details include:

  • Players can opt into rematches up until a best-of-3 is decided.
  • Players need to opt-in before each rematch.
    • For Ranked 2v2 games, only one player needs to opt-in on each team for the rematch to launch.
  • For 2v2 games, a player can opt-out of a rematch by opting in and then canceling.
    • This is to make sure that a player’s teammate can't opt into a rematch on their behalf when they don’t want to.
  • Leaving the post-match scoreboard and returning to the Legend select screen automatically opts out of any rematch.
    • Rematches launch straight from the scoreboard.
    • If a remote player leaves the scoreboard while a player is still there, the option to rematch disappears.
