A new special effects breakdown for Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens assembles Jakku, the Millennium Falcon, Starkiller Base and Maz Kanata right in front of your eyes. It’s astounding just how many elements went into some of these shots. While Star Wars: The Force Awakens trumpeted its practical effects work (my favorite is that giant ass-crack cow thing that shoves Finn away from a watering hole), just as much cred is due to the visionary work done inside computers.
