The Battlefield 1 open beta begins on Aug. 31, but if you signed up for the Battlefield Insider program before Aug. 21, then you should receive an early access code from EA by Aug. 30 across all platforms – PC, Xbox One and PS4. That's a full day headstart for the beta, which will end on Sept. 8.

The Battlefield 1 beta brings players to the Sinai Desert, a map that features a 64-player Conquest mode as well as 24-player Rush games. The thrilling desert map was also the main spotlight of EA's Battlefield 1 presentation at Gamescom earlier this month. The map features the battle between Allied Forces and the Ottoman Empire. The map features a slew of weapons, vehicles and elements, including 30 different firearms, bi-planes, tanks, armored trains and horseback cavalry. Extremely (da)rude sandstorms also shifts the momentum of the game.

Starting times of the Battlefield 1 open beta have yet to be announced, but expect the servers to go live in the early morning. According to reports, the Xbox One beta will require 6.2 GB of space and the PS4 is expected to be even larger than that. Meanwhile, Battlefield 1 PC requirements have yet to be announced.

The Battlefield 1 open beta will go live to the public from Aug. 31 through Sept. 8. The complete Battlefield 1 game is slated to officially arrive to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 21.
