August is here, and for Ubisoft this means that it’s time to release another update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which is still going strong nearly a year after its release. The lengthy update post covers all we can expect in terms of new content to be released this month, as well as details on the next big update to come this August and an update on the Story Creator Mode.

First off, Ubisoft has announced a new Lost Tale of Greece titled Old Flames Burn Brighter. The developer has released a small description of what this next tale will bring, which you can check out below.

“Your heart beats a little faster when you receive a note from someone you knew back on Kephallonia. Someone you thought you'd never see again. And it's more than just a note, it's an invitation! Take a horseback ride down memory lane as you reconnect with an old friend.”

Old Flames Burn Brighter has been avaiable since yesterday and is free for all Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players. In order to access all Lost Tales of Greece, you need to reach Chapter 5 in the main path of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. There are still some Lost Tales of Greece episodes yet to be released, so be sure to check back in next month to see what the new Tale will be.

Ubisoft has also announced in the post that the next big update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Title Update 1.5.0, will be releasing later this month, which will be targeting two things: various fixes for some of the game’s issues, as well as preparation for the upcoming release of Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece. More information on Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will be released in the September update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, so stay tuned.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Story Creator Mode will also see several updates for this month, including:

  • Inventory Starter/Objective: This will allow you to start a new quest using quest items as a condition. Same goes for the objective.
  • Patrol Behaviour: You asked, we listened. Patrol behaviour is coming!
  • Story Creator Mode Website Update: We're excited to announce that we'll be updating the website to allow you to:
    • Save Stories for later
    • Create and share playlists
    • Queue stories

Ubisoft also mentioned the possibility of adding more lines of dialogues between more than two characters, which should provide more immersion for players. Expect more updates if the testing phase is successful, which will then see this feature release before the end of the month.

The Ikaros Pack will also hit stores this month, which includes a gear set, a mount, and a bow. This new pack will be available starting August 27 in the Ubisoft Store and at the Oikos of the Olympians in-game.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is now available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A Google Stadia version is in the works.
