It’s the middle of July, and for Ubisoft this means that it’s time to release another update for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which is still going strong nearly a year after its release. The lengthy update post covers all we can expect in terms of content to be released this month, as well as shines a spotlight on some of the best creations that players made with the newly released Story Creator mode.

First off, let’s take a sneak peek at the third and final episode for The Fate of Atlantis, titled Judgment of Atlantis. The conclusion to this DLC sees players heading to the domain of Poseidon, a legendary lost world that is a complete mystery to every culture. It’s recently been discovered that this realm is a mythical world where Isu and humans live and work together in the utopia created by The Ones Who Came Before, beings key in the lore of Assassin’s Creed. Check out the trailer for Judgment of Atlantis below.

Last July 9 also saw Title Update 1.4.0 made available to players, which along with addressing some issues, readied the game for the release of Judgment of Atlantis. It also saw some improvements made to the Story Creator mode, which was the focal point of last June’s update.

Here are some highlights from the patch. A full list of changes can be read here.

  • In-game support for Judgment of Atlantis
  • In-game support for upcoming Lost Tales of Greece
  • Story Creator mode improvements, such as an autosave when completing a story
  • General bug fixes

The Helios Character pack has been made available since July 9, and includes a gear set, a mount, and a bow. For those looking for something new, however, the end of the month signifies the release of the Lawgiver Character pack. This all-new item pack was inspired by the legendary Spartan lawgiver Lykourgos, who is said to have reformed Spartan society in accordance with the Oracle of Delphi's guidance. Lykourgos himself will be available to recruit as a brand-new lieutenant. Both character packs are available for purchase via the in-game store or at the Oikos of the Olympians, with the Lawgiver Character pack arriving on July 30.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is now available to play on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A Google Stadia version is in the works.
