Apex Legends released patch 1.2 along with The Legendary Hunt limited time event. The update brings in changes like removing the exploit which allowed player to "bunny hop" as they were healing. Respawn Entertainment revealed as well that they are working on a server side patch for the "Bonus Round" and "teamwork" Badges.

Many of the updates made to Kings Canyon with the patch are related to looting. These are:

  • Thunderdome has had some small changes to loot placement, mostly around moving loose loot into bins for more visibility on where the loot is.
  • The Pit has about 2x the loot in it.
  • Repulsor has loot bins added to the west side of the area, on top of the trapezoid buildings.
  • Some loot added to the underground pit in the small town in Shattered Forest.
  • Added voice over lines that will callout Jump Towers when you ping them. You can now ping the jump towers.

For hero tweaks, one change was fixing the bug which resulted in a cloaked Mirage being too noticeable. In the case of Pathfinder, his Grapple now has a blue crosshair indicator that appears when the Grapple is in range of objects it can connect to. Players are sure to like the fact that Caustic barrels can now be triggered or disabled by friendly teammates.

Respawn revealed that they are also working on fixing the issue related to the PlayStation sign-in bug for new players. What generally happens is that some of the new player that do not already have an EA account linked to PSN are unable to sign into the game. Respawn hopes to release the fix as soon as possible.

Improvements were also made to the Squad Summary Page with Patch 1.2. For example, cursor support has been added. However two important changes are sure to catch the attention of players. The first is that from this page, players are now able to mute or report other players. The second is that players are now able to report teammates that have been disconnected. The latter feature was actually accidentally released back in April with Patch 1.1.

A full list of the fixes can be viewed here.
