Apex Legends' most awaited event has finally released today and it brings a host of new content as well as Legend and weapon changes. Some of these changes are really what the game needed since the meta is becoming predictable. We won't be running you through all the bug fixes and little changes coming to the game, and just highlight the major changes.

The Old Ways Lore Event

First of all, the lore-based Bloodhound's Trials is a limited-time event, which will run from April 7 to April 21. Next, there's an exclusive event prize track attached to the event that rewards amazing goodies including weapon skins and charms. There's also an event-exclusive store with plenty of good stuff, including legendary Legend and weapon cosmetics.

The event adds a new section to the World's Edge Sniper Ridge where Legends have to fight Prowlers to win high tier loot. However, other Legends will also show up in this new area to claim their rewards. So, you'll have to clear the other squads before claiming the rewards.

Duos Mode

Until now, Apex Legends only had a trios mode, with a duos mode popping in and out as part of limited-time events. However, with the latest update, Duos has been permanently added to the game and you can play the mode on both Kings Canyon and World's Edge. However, the mode will not be available when playing Ranked.

Permanent Map Rotation

Additionally, there is a permanent map rotation coming to the game. This means that after a set period of time, you'll play on either Kings Canyon or World's Edge. Respawn also said that Solos isn't a right fit for Apex Legends as the Legends are designed to work synergestically with other Legends.
