Apex Legends Emergence Will Nerf Revenant; Caustic, Fuse, and Horizon Getting Buffed

Apex Legends Season 10 is bringing a new legend, Seer. However, he is not the only operator receiving attention. According to recent reports, Emergence will also bring balancing changes to four existing legends. Caustic, Horizon, and Fuse will receive much-needed buffs, while the killer-robot Revenant will get a nerf.

Unfortunately, it seems like Wattson is still not getting buffed. But hey, at least she can place over 20 Nessies on the map, right?

Revenant has been a real annoyance for Apex players. Fighting him feels like fighting two squads at the same time. The developer is aware of how good he is and will nerf him in the upcoming season. After the update, enemy players will hear a distinct noise or see visual indication when the protection of Death Totem is about to end. This will let players know that the Revenant team is vulnerable for the time being. Other upcoming changes to the three legends are mentioned below:

Caustic (Buff)
  • Instead of five ticks of damage per second, Caustic's gas will now increase in damage every other second (so 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, etc.) with no limit on how much it can increase.
  • The gas cloud created from Caustic's Nox Gas Grenade dissipates five seconds sooner.
Horizon (Buff)
  • Horizon's ability to maneuver while in the air on her Gravity Lift is adjusting to be closer to how it was in Season 7, prior to her substantial nerfs in following seasons. It's not a total revert though.
Fuse (Buff)
  • Fuse's Knuckle Cluster will last twice as long, allowing him to deny areas for longer.
  • Enemies caught in The Motherlode will be highlighted (even if they're in a building or behind a wall), making it easier for Fuse and his allies to plan their follow-up attack.

As you would expect, these changes will be applied to both Battle Royale and Arenas Mode. Speaking of Arenas, the previously announced Ranked Arenas will also be available to play when Emergence launches on August 3.

There is no doubt that these balancing changes are coming to Apex Legends. However, they have not been confirmed by the official Apex Legends website yet. The actual patch notes will be available in a couple of days.

So what do you think? Are you interested in any of these changes? Are there any other legends that you think deserve a buff or a nerf? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
