Amy Hennig’s Marvel Game Features Captain America and Black Panther - Rumor

Upcoming Marvel Game
Upcoming Marvel Game Skydance Media

Last year it was announced that Amy Hennig's new studio, Skydance New Media, will develop a new video game based on Marvel characters. The announcement revealed that the project will be a narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure game featuring a new story. Everything else is a mystery.

The Rumor

According to a recent rumor, the upcoming game will feature Captain America and Black Panther. The game takes place during World War II, where the duo will fight against the evil forces of Hydra. The claim was made by a relatively new Twitter user, @MCUStatus. However, their previous leaks have been accurate.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to know if the rumor is true or false. The developer will reveal more information about the game tomorrow during D23 Expo 2022. Don’t expect any major gameplay footage though. We already know it will only be a sneak peek, not an in-depth reveal.

The new Marvel game seems to be in good hands. Amy Hennig is well respected in the industry. She’s the creator of the Uncharted franchise and has directed the first three games in the series. She has also worked on Legacy of Kain and Jak 3.

Another Skydance New Media Project

The new studio isn’t just working on one game; Skydance New Media is also developing a brand-new Star Wars title. The said title will also be a narrative-driven action adventure with a new story. Absolutely nothing about the game is revealed. I won’t expect any update on the SW game tomorrow, and neither should you.

Marvel fans are going to have a good couple of years. Several studios worldwide are developing video games related to the Marvel universe. Some of them, like Wolverine, are years away, while others, like Marvel's Midnight Suns, are only a couple of months away.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the upcoming Marvel game by Skydance New Media? Or are you more interested in the upcoming Star Wars game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
