Riot Games is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming arcade-style fighting game, "2XKO," and the team recently unveiled the new Season 1 Champion that will be joining the roster once it drops.
'2XKO' Unveils Season 1 Champion Coming Soon
Riot Games dropped back-to-back videos via the official "2XKO" YouTube channel to reveal the game's Season 1 Champion, and it is none other than the Sheriff of Piltover, Caitlyn Kinnerman.
The video shows off Caitlyn's moves and how she will fare in the 2v2 tag team fighting format, particularly as she is known to be a ranged fighter in the MOBA game.
In "League of Legends," Caitlyn best utilizes her skills by attacking from specific spots using her long-range attacks, but it will be a bit different compared to "2XKO's" tighter arena.
Since it will focus on a 2D arcade-style fighting game, players will have to adjust their knowledge of playing Caitlyn in Riot's upcoming title, but it will still utilize the Sheriff's ranged attacks using her Hextech rifle.
"2XKO" also revealed the move list for Caitlyn in a separate video, showing off her specific attacks and skills that players may use in the 2v2 tag team fighting game once the character makes her debut.
While the controls shown on the video are specific to controllers, users may translate them to PC controls in the game or use a controller to connect to their computers.
Riot Games '2XKO' Release Date, What to Expect
Riot Games already has "2XKO" available to play via the Windows PC platform, but it will officially release to all console platforms on January 21.
The game is free-to-play, and players only need to meet the system requirements, especially the storage space needed, to download and install the game via their Riot accounts.
Players are put in 2v2 tag team battles with special game mechanics like Fuses for combined attacks and take advantage of the current 11 Champion roster available to choose from. This includes the likes of Ahri, Blitzcrank, Braum, Darius, Ekko, Illaoi, Jinx, Teemo, Vi, Warwick, and Yasuo.
Caitlyn rounds up the roster to, and Season 1 will also bring her second costume, where she will be sporting a mask.
