"Marvel Rivals" is finally giving fans an update they have been asking for as Season 6 is set to mark the arrival of Deadpool.
'Marvel Rivals' Unveil Deadpool's Role in His Season 6 Debut
"Marvel Rivals" has dropped its character preview of Deadpool in preparation for the mercenary's arrival in the game via the upcoming Season 6 update.
The video shows off the classic and iconic suit of Deadpool, which he dons in his "Marvel Rivals" representation, complete with his katanas, guns, and more.
Deadpool will bring his classic comedic and witty lines to the game, and there will be several interactions he will have with players, staying true to his character with his loud internalizations.
Wade Wilson will be able to wield both his katanas, guns, and bombs that make him both a melee and ranged fighter, giving players an advantage in both close and long-range combat.
Creative director Guangguang said that in Quick Play and Competitive Modes, only one Deadpool character may be chosen by each side or team, and this comes as a standard in "Marvel Rivals."
When Will Season 6 Release?
One of the biggest surprises in Deadpool's debut on "Marvel Rivals" is his role, and while there had been dual roles in the game for certain characters in the past, Deadpool will have three roles, according to NetEase Games.
In the character preview, the team showed off the three roles of Deadpool, which include Duelist, Strategist, and Vanguard. These three roles are the tenets of "Marvel Rivals" characters, and Deadpool gets them all in his debut.
This means that Wade Wilson can engage with enemy combatants and deal serious damage as a Duelist, support teammates and share buffs as a Strategist, and act as the frontline with massive health and defense in his Vanguard role.
Deadpool and Season 6 are expected to drop this Friday, January 16.
