Riot Games officially opens the doors of its highly anticipated "League of Legends" fighter game, "2XKO," on Oct. 7, with an early access launch. Ever since months of closed beta testing, the 2v2 brawler is ready to be released to a broader user base, and this time, no invitation code is required.
Early Access Information for '2XKO'
The early access launch of "2XKO" will start on PC, and Riot has not yet made any announcement regarding consoles. Riot said that early access begins with Season 0, which brings the game's 10th champion, as well as new rewards and progression.
Most importantly, all content that is unlocked: champions, skins, and mastery rewards, will be brought forward to the full release, so early adopters retain what they earn.
Seasonal Content Roadmap
In the future, Riot detailed its plans for "2XKO" after launch. The 2026 content strategy features five complete seasons, each adding a new champion to the roster, cosmetic content, and more progression systems.
This seasonal model will follow Riot's strategy of continued support across its flagship titles, one that will keep players interested with regular updates and competitive balance changes.
Confirmed Champion Roster
At launch, "2XKO" already features a roster of "League of Legends" fan favorites, each reimagined for the fighting genre. PCGames N reported that these are the confirmed playable champions so far:
- Ahri
- Blitzcrank
- Braum
- Darius
- Ekko
- Illaoi
- Jinx
- Vi
- Yasuo
The 10th champion, set to debut with Season 0, has yet to be revealed, but Riot promises it will bring a fresh twist to the lineup.
'2XKO' Close Beta
Executive Producer Tom Cannon highlighted the importance of the imminent launch, hailing it as "the beginning of the next chapter for 2XKO." Cannon recognized the role of community feedback in closed beta testing, noting that player input has played an important role in balancing gameplay and overall experience.
"To everyone who joined us in closed beta, thank you. Your energy and feedback have already made the game stronger, and now we're ready to take the next step forward. Early access is just the beginning, and we can't wait for players to see everything we have in store."
For "League of Legends," "Arcane," or fighting game fans in general, Oct. 7 will be the start of a new chapter in Riot's growing universe.
