The highly anticipated "007 First Light" has just been officially released today, May 27, but many players have actually already beat the game and shared footage online.
While you're not going to find any spoilers in this article, many have noted that there is something about the game's final sequence that hints that sequel may be coming.

According to a report by GameSpot, the ending of "007 First Light" actually teases what he may be doing in the next game.
The report likewise notes that it's no surprise that the game has a teaser of sorts as IO Interactive, the game's developer and publisher, has previously said that the game is not meant to be a standalone.
"I don't want to speak too big about it, but I just hope we'll do a thing that will define James Bond in gaming for years to come," IO CEO Hakan Abrak said in 2024. "And that is not only one game, but that we create a universe for gamers to own for many years to come that we can grow with that next to the Bond on the movies."
That said, IO Interactive has not confirmed as of press time if a sequel is indeed in the works for this "James Bond" game.
What to Know About '007 First Light'
For those who are only about to dip their toes into "007 First Light," the game is actually meant to be an origin story for James Bond, who is set to embark on a mission that will earn him his 00 status.
The game does feature an original narrative that takes inspiration from the novels and short stories by Ian Fleming.
In the story, James Bond is 26 years old and lacks in experience as an MI6 agent. Aside from Bond, other well-known characters who will make an appearance in the game include M, Q, and Miss Moneypenny.
Original characters have been likewise added to the narrative, including one named John Greenway, who will serve as Bond's MI6 mentor.
What Reviews Look Like for '007 First Light'
As of press time, reviews are looking good for "007 First Light." Thus far, Steam reviews look "Very Positive" for the game, while Metacritic has given it a score of 87 based on 50 critic reviews.
