You're Invited to the Pokémon GO Winter Holiday

The holidays have arrived to Pokémon GO and it's time to celebrate the season with the Winter Holiday. It's going to have two parts with Part 1 set to run from December 18 to December 25.

There's a lot happening in Winter Holiday Part 1 with the highlight being the official debut of Cetoddle and its evolution Cetitan, to the game. Trainers can also look forward to seeing new customed Pokémon which are Pikachu wearing holiday attire and the Raichu wearing holiday attire.

For the Winter Holiday Part 1, Trainers can choose the bonus they want to receive for completing Timed Research. It's either double XP for catching Pokémon or double Stardust for catching Pokémon. Trainers can also enjoy the increased XP and Stardust from opening Gifts.

Paid Time Research

Aside from the Timed Research that's available to all Trainers, two tickets for additional Timed Research can be purchase during the event. For Part 1, the ticket is priced at $2.00 and it's for:

  • Access the event-exclusive two-part Timed Research.
  • Buy this ticket gives trainers Timed Research for both parts of the Winter Holiday event.

Timed Research rewards for Winter Holiday Part 1 include:

  • Event-themed Pokémon encountersl ike Spheal wearing a holiday scarf.
  • A first peek at a new costumed Pokémon which is Psyduck wearing holiday attire.
  • Two Premium Battle Passes.
