Pokémon GO: The Last Community Day of 2023 to Take Place Over 2 Days

The year is almost over and we're on the way to the last month. This is going to be an exciting time in Pokémon GO especially with the last Community Day of 2023. Making things even better is that the Community Day is taking place on two days, which are December 16 and December 17, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During this event, Pokémon which has been featured in Community Day events during the year are set to appear more frequently in the wild and even as reward encounters for Timed Research. Meanwhile, Pokémon featured in Community Day events back in 2022 are going to hatch from Eggs and appear in raids and as reward encounters for Timed Research. There's no doubt that this is a good way to wrap up a fun year.

Event Bonuses

Before we look at what's going to happen during these two days, let's start with the event bonuses. These are:

  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event lasts for three hours.
  • One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two per day.
  • Trades made during the event needs 50% less Stardust.

Featured Pokémon

For each of the event day, there's going to be a different set of Pokémon to be featured. In addition, Pokémon that appear during the event period has the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those which appeared during their original Community Days. Outside of the event period on December 16 and December 17, expect any of the featured Pokémon to appear. Here's what to look forward to:

These Pokémon are going to be featured on December 16 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.:

  • Slowpoke
  • Galarian Slowpoke
  • Togetic
  • Chespin
  • Fennekin
  • Noibat

These Pokémon are going to featured on December 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.:

  • Poliwag
  • Wooper
  • Paldean Wooper
  • Timburr
  • Axew
  • Froakie
  • Grubbin

Meanwhile, lucky trainer can encounter other Pokémon on either day. For the last ten minutes of each hour between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., trainers have the chance to encounter:

  • Charmander
  • Squirtle
  • Mareep
  • Swinub
  • Larvitar
