Pokémon GO developer Niantic announced that there's going to be changes in how players log in to the game through the Pokémon Trainer Club credentials. Specifically, when logging in with a Pokémon Trainer Club account, they'll still need to tap Sign-In using the Pokémon Trainer Club. Then they should notice that the login screen has been updated.
Niantic went on to say that because of this change, players who are currently logged in to the game GO using their Pokémon Trainer Club credentials may be logged out. They then need to validate if they want to regain access to the game.
To prepare for this change, it's recommended that players take note of the Pokémon Trainer Club username and password. That's because it's possible that the Pokémon Trainer Club username could be different from the Trainer Name in Pokémon GO. Once the change has been completed, players who have a Pokémon Trainer Club account should receive a reward for validating their account. Niantic said that more details on this item bonus is going to be available soon.
Fashion Week 2023
In case you missed the announced, Fashion Week has started. During this event new costumed Pokémon which include:
- Dragonite wearing a fashionable costume
- Wooper wearing a fashionable costume
- Quagsire wearing a fashionable costume
Of course, it won't be a Pokémon GO event without the bonuses and these are what players can look forward to:
- Select avatar items are on sale during Fashion Week.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon.
