Xbox Series X Will Have ‘Largest Launch Lineup’ In Console History Says Microsoft CEO

Microsoft is not taking the next-gen console war lightly. The company looks prepared this time around and doesn’t want to repeat the same mistakes from the launch of the Xbox One. From Xbox Game Pass to Smart Delivery to bringing all the upcoming exclusives to PC, the company is becoming very consumer-friendly, and we love that.

But apparently, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said in an investor's earning call that Xbox Series X will have the “largest launch lineup of any console ever.” He also claimed that the console release is still on track and that it will launch this fall.

Nadella didn’t reveal what games he was referring to, but we do know that Halo Infinite is in fact a launch title for the Series X. We should get more information about this during the Xbox Games Showcase that will occur today.

Nadella further talked about how the role Xbox has in the gaming industry has increased. This is thanks to Xbox Live, Game Pass, and the new game streaming services like xCloud.

“So, we think going forward, Xbox, with the approach we're taking has much more of an ability to reach the two-plus-billion gamers out there”, Nadella said in the investors' meeting. “And we're in the early days of building that out. And so, this quarter, of course, was stand out for many of the reasons because of the remote nature of how -- with lot of the activity happened. But -- and also, we have a new console, that's very much part of our strategy. But, we go beyond the console to the PC, we go to mobile, and we have the streaming service. So, all of these accrue to what we think in the long run is going to be a much bigger addressable market. And we have a great structural position. We have a social network in Xbox Live, obviously, we have a store that monetizes super well, as well as we have the Game Pass subscription.”

So what do you think? Are you excited about Xbox Series X? Which other game do you want as a launch title? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
