World of Warcraft: Here’s What You Can Expect From the Shadowlands Castle Nathria Raid

The newest raid for World of Warcraft is currently live. This is a part of the Shadowlands expansion and focuses on Castle Nathria. Today, we take a quick look at what the latest raid has to offer.

The Story so Far

Before we go into the details of the new raid, you’re probably wondering about the lore. The story is about Sire Denathrius who rules over Revendreth. Everything had been going rather well. But when Shadowlands entered its darkest hour, Denathrius betrayed his sacred duty and showed his true color.

In defiance to his former Masters, Prince Renathal gathered his remaining allies. They went on a desperate mission into Castle Nathria in hopes of removing Denathrius from power.

General Details

Although the lore tells Sire Denathrius, it’s not him who the players need to deal with. They have to go through nine other Raid Bosses, which are:

• Shriekwing
• Huntsman Altimor
• Sun King’s Salvation
• Artificer Xy’mox
• Hungering Destroyer
• Lady Inerva Darkvein
• The Council of Blood
• Sludgefist
• Stone Legion Generals

Players must be at least Level 60 to take part. While the Raid Finder minimum item level is set at 170. Below is the official schedule of the Raid:

New Achievements

As with any new raid, there are achievements for players to obtain. The main one is Castle Nathria, in which players can get by beating all bosses on any difficulty.

Here are the other achievements up for grabs:

• Normal Difficulty and Higher
  • Blind as a Bat
    • Defeat Shriekwing after she kills six Sneaky Servitors.
  • Taking Care of Business
    • Defeat Huntsman Altimor after walking Margore, Bargast, and Hecutis to the corners of The Kennels.
  • Burning Bright
    • Redeem Kael’thas after lighting all four of the room’s braziers.
  • Private Stock
    • Defeat Artificer Xy’mox after returning loose Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, and Maw Anima to their display cases.
  • Feed the Beast
    • Defeat the Hungering Destroyer after draining all of the large anima canisters with Volatile Ejection.
  • I Don’t Know What I Expected
    • Defeat Lady Inerva Darkvein after defeating the Dark Animus.
  • Pour Decision Making
    • Defeat the Council of Blood after throwing four bottles of wine.
  • Dirtflap’s Revenge
    • Defeat Sludgefist after he collides with pillars in Dirtflap’s preferred order.
  • Feed Me, Seymour!
    • Defeat the Stone Legion Generals while all players are carrying a Bouquet of Blooming Sanguine Roses.
  • Clear Conscience
    • Defeat Sire Denathrius after removing Burden of Sin from all players before March of the Penitent is cast.
