World of Warcraft released a hotfix which fixed different issues related to Battle for Azeroth. These include the Dungeons and Raids along with Items and Rewards. The biggest change is the new system that lets players that have Rank 3 Azerite essences on at least one character be able to get those same Essences on other characters. It's going to use a new currency known as Echoes of Ny’alotha.

With the hotfix, MOTHER is now going offer any eligible character a Rank 3 Essence for 500 Echoes of Ny’alotha each. Players who are eligible to buy at least one Essence from MOTHER are going to receive Echoes of Ny’alotha from a wide range of activities that include:

  • Black Empire Assault
    • 125 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Aqir/Amathet/Mantid/Mogu Assault
    • 75 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Horrific Visions
    • 50 Echoes of Ny’alotha
      • Plus 25 per additional objective completed
      • A full clear gives players 150 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Emissary Quest
    • 50 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Heroic Darkshore Warfront
    • 75 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Normal/Heroic/Mythic Ny’alotha raid bosses
    • 15-25 Echoes of Ny’alotha each
      • Once per week per boss
  • Ny’alotha Raid Finder wings
    • 25 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Random Battleground wins
    • 15-25 Echoes of Ny’alotha
  • Rated Arena wins
    • 10-25 Echoes of Ny’alotha baseline
    • Scales up with PvP rank
  • Rated Battleground wins
    • 35 Echoes of Ny’alotha baseline
    • Scales up with PvP rank
  • Weekly PvP Cache
    • 175 to 300 Echoes of Ny’alotha
    • Based on PvP rank
  • Mythic Keystone dungeon end-of-run chest
    • 3 Echoes of Ny’alotha per Keystone Level
  • Weekly Mythic Keystone Dungeon Cache
    • 20 Echoes of Ny’alotha per highest Keystone Level

World of Warcraft also announced that the hotfix has resulted in all equipment rewards from Horrific Visions getting Corrupted. According to the Development Team, there were comments from players that Corrupted Items weren't easily obtainable enough. This limited their ability to play with the system, along with the inherent tradeoffs.

In addition, the change should somewhat increase the number of Corrupted Items that are reliably earned per week. This allows players to be able to choose from a greater selection of Corrupted pieces.

For Dungeons and Raids, here are the changes coming with the hotfix:

  • Ny’alotha, the Waking City
    • Resolved an issue which resulted in players getting locked inside the Chamber of Heart if both Carapace of N'Zoth and N’Zoth the Corruptor encounters were defeated but other bosses undefeated on Mythic difficulty.
    • N’Zoth the Corruptor
      • Tank-specialization characters should no longer be targeted by Paranoia on all difficulties.
    • Mythic Keystone Dungeon
      • Tidesage Council
        • Blessing of the Tempest should now be more visible when active on Galecaller Faye.
        • Blowback damage reduced by 20%.
        • Slicing Blast damage reduced by 20%.
      • Waycrest Manor
        • Reduced the rate at which members of the Heartsbane Triad gain energy from the Focusing Iris, resulting in an increased delay before Dire Ritual is cast.

World of Warcraft reminded players that some of the hotfixes take effect immediately while others may need scheduled realm restarts in order to go into effect.
