World of Warcraft: Demon Hunter and Priest Got Some Love in Latest Hotfix

World of Warcraft Blizzard

Fans of the Demon Hunter and Priest classes in World of Warcraft will be happy to know that several buffs are coming when the server restarts later today.

The Demon Hunter's Havoc spec has several of its abilities buffed in the latest World of Warcraft hotfix. Chaos Strike/Annihilation, Demon Blades, Demon's Bite, and Felblade all have their damage increased by 15%. Melee auto-attack damage has increased by the same amount as well.

Holy Priests, according to the developers, have been lagging behind other healers in terms of damage output. That's why the damage of some spells is buffed, including Holy Fire (10%), Smite (15%), Holy Word: Chastise (35%), and Shadow Word: Death (25%).

Shadow Priests, on the other hand, have been over-performing in the AoE department. Hence, the Void Spike damage from the Idol of Yogg-Saron is reduced by 35%. On top of that, Psychic Link got a minor nerf in that it now causes direct damage spells to inflict only 25% of their damage to all other targets with Vampiric Touch (down from 30%).

To compensate for the nerfs, the developers increased the damage of a variety of single-target spells in the Shadow Priest's repertoire, such as Mind Blast, Mind Spike, Mind Spike: Insanity, Mind Flay, Mind Flay: Insanity, and Void Bolt by 10%.
