With the World of Warcraft Classic release quickly approaching, it comes as no surprise that some people are going to attempt to be the ones to perform the "firsts." With this in mind, World Showdown of Esports (WSOE), which is produced by Estars Studio, has partnered with World of Warcraft esports organization Method to put together the Classic Race to World First

This event will be live streamed 24/7 beginning August 26 until September 2. It is going to be done at the PokerGO Studio of the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The Classic Race to World First is expected to feature a mix of content experts from the Classic WoW community and world-class speed levelers. It is even going to have some of Twitch's top WoW streamers. All of them are going to race with the hopes of achieving the notable "firsts" in WoW Classic. The interactive 24-hour coverage can be viewed here and here.

Participants in the Classic Race to World First hope to be the first players to level their personal characters to Level 60. After that, they then lead their guilds, which are comprised of the different players from around the world, in the hopes of being the first group of 40 players to defeat the legendary "end bosses" Ragnaros and Onyxia.

Featured players include WoW legends Esfand and TipsOut, along with Twitch personalities Sco, Zizaran, Maldiva, Hotted, and Djarii. Fans should also expect to see some special surprise guests. Meanwhile, the talent desk is going to feature leading personalities Mike “Preach” Lamb, JB “Jdotb” Daniel, Sid “Supatease” Compton, Adam “Finalboss” Knych, Daniel Falcone, Daniel “MrGM” Carter, and Michael “Nano” Wilson.

WSOE commissioner Christian Bishop revealed in a statement that they "look forward to bringing WSOE’s signature high-quality production value to yet another gaming genre." Bishop went on to say that this partnership with Method hopes to bring unforgettable action, nostalgia, and around-the-clock entertainment to the World of Warcraft community.

Meanwhile Method General Manager Shanna "Darrie" Roberts said that everyone in the company is excited to bring the Classic Race to World First to WSOE's calendar of events in Las Vegas. Roberts added that with two Race to World First events already held in Europe, it "it feels fantastic to bring an event to U.S. soil." When it comes to passion, the WoW fanbase has always been unmatched, Roberts related further, saying that they "are confident that Estars Studios is going to help us not only live up to the expectations of the fans, but exceed them.”

World of Warcraft Classic is set to be release in the U.S. on August 26.
