World of Tanks Invites Everyone to Join the Confrontation on February 7

Time to get ready.
Time to get ready. Wargaming

The Global Map is making a return to World of Tanks with Confrontation. That means it's time once again for different clans to go head-to-head and see who's the best. This event starts February 7 and runs until February 21.

Before we go into the details, let's take a quick look at the reward vehicles. These are:

  • T95/FV4201 Chieftain
  • Carro da Combattimento 45t
  • Object 907
  • VK 72.01 (K)
  • M60
  • T95E6
  • 121B

General Rules

The general rule of Confrontation is the same as those in previous game events. The rules are:

  • Battles are fought in 15v15 format in Tier X vehicles.
  • Clans earn Fame Points both from battles and strategic decisions that commanders make. Clan fighters receive personal Fame Points to redeem personal rewards.
  • The playing field is divided into three Fronts, each having its own size, bonuses, and a specific number of Fame Points that can be earned. The commander's task is to develop a strategy to achieve the clan's goals.
  • The Clan's Fame Points are distributed by the commander. These can be saved or spent in the Laboratory for various bonuses that provide strategic advantages or increase the speed at which Clan Fame Points are earned.
  • Vehicles can be equipped with experimental modules.

Fame Points

The mechanics when it comes to earning Clan Fame Points remain the same. However, the ones for personal Fame Points have been reworked. All team players now receive personal Fame Points in an equal amount through their accumulation for each battle fought according to these rules:

  • Front: Basic
    • Victory: 10
    • Defeat: 7
    • Battle Against the Province Owner on any Front or Battle Defending a Province: 14
    • Tournament among Challenges on Regular provinces of any Front, and landing Auction Tournaments on the Advanced or Elite Fronts: 14
  • Front: Advanced
    • Victory: 10
    • Defeat: 7
    • Battle Against the Province Owner on any Front or Battle Defending a Province: 21
    • Tournament among Challenges on Regular provinces of any Front, and landing Auction Tournaments on the Advanced or Elite Fronts: 21
  • Front: Elite
    • Victory: 10
    • Defeat: 7
    • Battle Against the Province Owner on any Front or Battle Defending a Province: 28
    • Tournament among Challenges on Regular provinces of any Front, and landing Auction Tournaments on the Advanced or Elite Fronts: 28

If that's confusing, here's a quick example. Suppose Clan A managed to beat Clan B in a fight against the province owner on the Advanced Front. Each player of Clan A that took part in the battle receives 31 points. That's 10 points for the win and 21 points for battle against the province owner.
