Wondering how to watch Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show remake this Thursday, Oct. 20? Those with access to a cable or satellite login will have plenty of options, but cord cutters will have more limited choices.

Despite some lackluster reviews earlier this week, which compared the remake unfavorably to the 70s cult classic, there are still plenty of Rocky Horror and musical theater fans eager to tune in to see Fox’s retelling of the tale of Brad and Janet’s chance encounter with the transvestite scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox plays Frank-N-Furter, the sexually ambiguous, flirtatious mad scientist, hosting a Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of Rocky Horror – a beefy specimen created solely to fulfill the doctor’s desires. The character was made famous by Tim Curry, who will appear in the Fox film for a brief cameo.

Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture Show remake airs Thursday night at 8 p.m. Viewers can tune in via their local Fox affiliate, or stream in real time via Fox.com. The musical can also be played via the Fox Now app for iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and Apple TV.

Watcing both live streams and on-demand programs on Fox.com and the Fox Now app requires login credentials for a cable or satellite provider. If you miss Rocky Horror on Thursday night - or just want to watch it later - Fox’s website and apps will allow you to stream the movie on demand anytime, beginning at midnight on Friday, Oct. 21.

There is no way to watch Fox’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show remake online without a cable or satellite subscription.

Sorry, cord-cutting Rocky Horror fans, you’ll likely have to wait for the musical to make it’s way to Hulu, although there’s not yet a precise date for when that will happen. Alternatively, browser-based streaming on Fox.com grants users a free, one-hour preview pass (with commericals), which could be a way for those on the fence to get a feel for the new Rocky Horror movie before going to the trouble of finding or creating a Fox login to watch the whole thing.
