The first-person shooter Warface got a new update not long ago that invited players to a new limited-time PvP mode, where they will have the chance to earn new achievements, as well as stupendous amounts of currency.

Winter Brawl

The new Warface PvP mode called the Winter Brawl takes place at the XMAS Hangar or Bridges Modern. Basically, the idea here is that players will be divided into two teams, with the first group to reach 200 points wins.

Now, that may sound simple and all, but the Winter Brawl offers something unique to keep things exciting: power-ups!

Scattered around the map are power-ups that players can get to turn their characters into one of four special classes. The first class is called the Rocketman. As the name implies, players who get this particular power-up will receive a rocket launcher with unlimited ammo. What’s more, as a specialist in all things explosive, players who turn into the Rocketman receive additional protection from explosions as well.

Players who want to set their foes on fire might like the Pyromaniac. Getting this power-up provides players with a flamethrower and a Molotov cocktail.

For those who want a more stationary approach, the Juggernaut is a class that specializes in heavy firepower using a machine gun that can tear enemies to shreds. All of that firepower comes at a heavy cost though, as the players’ mobility suffers quite a bit. With the Juggernaut, they cannot slide, run, jump, or help allies perform a double climb. As a result, players would have to choose whether to use the Juggernaut or opt for a class that is a bit more mobile.

Speaking of which, the last special class called the Ninja is the direct opposite of the Juggernaut. Due to its improved mobility, the Ninja class more than makes up for its lack of power. Players are able to sprint longer, run faster, and climb taller obstacles without the help of their allies. Additionally, the Ninja’s footsteps are silent, letting them easily slip past enemies and slice them up using their trusty Katana.

Event Rewards

Players can earn special event currencies just by playing the Winter Brawl. Once they’ve earned enough, they can purchase the new “Present” Weapons Series, which includes the H&K G36 Assault Rifle, AK-47, Fabarm P.S.S.10 semi-automatic shotgun, SR-2 Veresk submachine gun, SIG MPX Copperhead Dual SMGs, and M40A5 bolt action sniper rifle.

Those who use any of the “Present” weapons can earn achievements by eliminating enemies with the new guns.

So, are you going to participate in the Winter Brawl?

Warface is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
