"Pokémon Scarlet and Violet" is truly impressive with its 60FPS glow-up on Nintendo Switch 2. Although it's not the upgrade that fans are expecting, it's still better than its performance on the original Switch console.
If you own a Switch 2 right now, you can take advantage of more effective shiny hunting. It's not just a major performance boost, but you can exploit a neat glitch to farm more Shinies in Area Zero and other locations.
Why the Nintendo Switch 2 Makes Shiny Pokémon Less Difficult to Find
The glitzy farming technique is catching on in Pokémon fandom, and fans have already gotten the hang of it.
The Switch 2 "Scarlet and Violet" runs at a silky-smooth 60 FPS, which improves everything from graphic clarity to game performance overall. But the biggest boon for shiny hunters? Increased spawn amounts and a longer render distance, so more Pokémon are visible on-screen simultaneously.
This takes away one of the largest bottlenecks of the original Switch: its hard-coded 16 Pokémon spawn limit. With this, players can now scan a larger area and see more Pokémon in a shorter period, raising their chances of getting a rare shiny.
Shiny Flutter Mane Glitch Guide
If you're looking for a shiny Flutter Mane army of your own, this is what you should do to create the glitch and make the most out of your hunt, according to a Reddit post.
First, make a Ghost-Type Shiny Sandwich. Utilize ingredients that enhance Ghost-type shiny chances to trigger the encounter and shiny energy.
Then, go to the Cave in Area Zero. Flutter Mane can only be found within the cave. Go there right after preparing your sandwich.
After that, press and hold ZL to repeatedly reset the camera and spawn locations. This makes Flutter Mane appear quickly.
A word of advice: Don't forget to let the regular ones despawn. Non-shiny Pokémon will fade away before long. Shiny ones won't. So just wait and continue pressing ZL.
Users on Reddit have reported discovering as many as seven shiny Flutter Mane in a mere 24 minutes with this very approach.
More Players Find Shinies Than Ever
And it's not only Flutter Mane. As spotted by GamesRadar, a player recently revealed that they netted 10 shiny Porygon2 in one outbreak. The synergy between increased spawn cycles and wider rendering areas is flipping the script on shiny hunters across the board.

Of course, not everyone's pleased. Long-time fans claim that shiny hunting's become "too easy" from the former 1/8192 harrowing odds in previous Pokémon games. But for competitive gamers and casual enthusiasts alike, this added accessibility introduces more enjoyment and liberty to the search.
Is This the Golden Age of Shiny Hunting?
Whether you're after the ghostly glow of Flutter Mane or aiming to build a full shiny team for VGC battles, the Nintendo Switch 2 has made the journey smoother than ever. Of course, performance upgrades are the most sought-after for gamers, but creative glitches like this are what make the game more interesting and rewarding.
We advise you to get your ZL button ready now. We never know how long this glitch will last. Nintendo might fix it in a few days or weeks, who knows?
