We can’t wait for Twitter to dissect the last few frames of the latest The Walking Dead Season 7 teaser. Seriously, we just want to know who Negan killed so we can move on with our lives.
AMC continues to torment fans with the latest The Walking Dead Season 7 trailer , which includes a clip of Negan swinging his bat downward and an image of Lucille covered in blood. Oh Lucille, such a sweet name for a terrifying weapon. Check out the teaser in the video above.
If you’re still not sure how to feel about Negan, Michonne actress Danai Gurira had some interesting things to say about the character during The Walking Dead panel at New York Comic Con 2016 . Gurira explained what makes Negan unique in respect to past villains like The Governor, who she called “small potatoes” compared to the leader of the Saviors:
“Because he has a structure in place. He doesn’t have one town of Woodbury, he has outposts in various places we don’t even know about yet. We know it’s more than one at this point. He’s also extremely smart,” Gurira told the audience. “He gets Rick on his knees in many ways… [he has] an indoctrination process which is far beyond what The Governor was doing… there’s a whole other level of creating a system and an order where you can reign supreme as a demagogue in a way that’s deeply insulated in a way that no one has touched before.”
And if you haven’t heard already, Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirmed his character Negan will kill multiple people in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere. Whether the deaths will be back-to-back is unknown, but there will be blood.
We’re looking forward to the Negan storylines in The Walking Dead Season 7. We may be alone on this, but Rick has become too powerful in the series. His group seemed to survive every horrible thing that came their way, including a run in with the Wolves and a massive herd of walkers. The show needs someone like Negan to disrupt Rick’s world, even if that means losing some of our favorite characters.
The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres Oct. 23 on AMC.
