Daryl’s personal hell might actually be waiting for him in Alexandria, not Negan’s Sanctuary. Daryl hasn’t spoken to Maggie since Glenn’s death, and what she might say would break him even more in The Walking Dead Season 7.

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, recently teased during an interview with Deadline what might happen if the two characters reunite.

“He’s completely guilt-ridden, man,” Reedus said. “You know, he’s got this family, and he lost one of his family members, and was it a result of something that he did? Maybe. He doesn’t know, you know? I would assume that he thought that if someone was going to get the bat after that punch, it was going to be him, you know, and he was willing to do it.”

Reedus continued, “He just wasn’t going to have this guy mock Abraham and mock Rosita in her face with a bloody bat and watch her cry. He can’t put up with that – and then that happened. But I’m sure that you’ll see Maggie and Daryl at some point run into each other, and it’ll be interesting, you know? It’ll be honest, and it’ll be interesting.”

The Walking Dead Season 7 episode 4 will show fans how Rick’s group is recovering in Alexandria. Maggie might be too depressed to even leave her home. Maggie might not even been in Alexandria; she might be getting medical care at the Hilltop community. Still, Maggie might be need someone to blame for Glenn’s death, and it would definitely be Rick and Daryl.

Maggie believed Rick when he said taking out the Saviors was the only way to handle the threat. She believed the deal she made with Hilltop was fair and the only way to survive. Maggie, like the rest of Alexandria, didn’t listen to Morgan, who tried to explain there were other alternatives to handling the threat.

Now, Glenn is gone and Maggie is angry. She will get vengeance, even if it means going against Rick to rally the other communities to turn against Negan. The Saviors might have the power, but not for long.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
