A new The Walking Dead Season 7 promo image raises questions about Carol’s whereabouts. We know she eventually makes it to The Kingdom , but it might not be right away.

The image below shows Carol bandaged up with Morgan’s coat and some supplies. Last we saw her, she was shot in the leg, ready to die. She begged Morgan to put her out of her misery, but he refused. Now, Carol is in physical and emotional pain potentially traveling to a dangerous situation.
Carol does not trust Morgan. Carol trusts no one at this point. It’s possible Morgan will have to bring Carol back to the Kingdom and force her to rest. We know Carol is good at putting up a front and making people believe she’s okay. Lennie James, who plays Morgan on The Walking Dead , recently dropped some hints to Entertainment Weekly about the tension between Carol and Morgan. James was careful to avoid spoilers, but did say Carol and Morgan aren’t exactly on good terms.
“Well, I think it’s to do with two things really,” James told EW , referring to Morgan and Carol’s relationship. “I mean on one level, I can’t tell you. Then on another level, it’s to do with where they are when we meet them at the beginning of Season 7. On one level, they’re alone together. They may well be with another group of people, but they’re the only two people who know each other. Although it being Carol and Morgan, it’s always going to be a tricky and thorny path, but they’re going to get to know each other a little better. Whether that means they become the best of friends or the worst of enemies, we’ll have to wait and see.”
It wouldn’t be a surprise if Morgan is left with no choice but to kill Carol if she continues on this destructive path. Morgan has learned once you lose your humanity there’s no point in living in this world; people can come back from the darkness, but some are too far gone for help.
