The Walking Dead Season Episode 2 will have you laughing thanks to Carol and Ezekiel. In fact, Carol is all of us right now. Ezekiel’s king persona is too much, but it’s refreshing.

The episode starts with Carol and Morgan making their way to The Kingdom. Carol is hallucinating most of their trip back. She looks at the walkers and sees people. Eventually Carol comes out of her fever dreams. Morgan explains to her what happened and Ezekiel doesn’t know about Alexandria. Morgan rolls Carol in to meet Ezekiel in an auditorium.

Then the greatest thing happens next. Ezekiel, in all his regalness, introduces himself to Carol with his tiger Shiva by his side. She puts on front that she’s impressed with the Kingdom, but Morgan knows she’s faking it. When she’s alone with Morgan, Carol looks at him and says, “You're shitting me, right? This place is a circus!”

Carol isn’t wrong to be skeptical. The place is eerily peaceful, but we soon learn even Ezekiel has secrets. Ezekiel has a deal with the Saviors. He gives them meat and produce in return for their lives. Morgan isn’t happy that Ezekiel is working with the Saviors, but he understands his predicament. Meanwhile, Carol is stealing items to try and escape.

Fortunately, Ezekiel finds Carol trying to escape. He calls Carol out for bullshitting him, and tells her that he sees right through her. He stops acting like “King” Ezekiel and tells him the story of finding Shiva. Ezekiel found Shiva wounded in the zoo he worked. He saved Shiva’s life and the tiger become his loyal follower. Ezekiel also admits he used to be an actor, so playing the role of king isn’t foreign to him. He likes that he can create an illusion for his followers.

Ezekiel asks Carol where she wants to go, but she doesn’t respond. He tells Carol he’s sorry for whatever bad she went through, asks her to stay in The Kingdom, reminding her that life can't be all bad. Carol asks Ezekiel why he cares about her, to which he responds, “Because it makes me feel good.”

We ship Carol and Ezekiel. We ship them hard.

The episode ends with Morgan and Carol riding to what appears to be her new home. She found a house where she can be at peace. Morgan understands Carol’s desire to be alone. He doesn’t force her to stay in The Kingdom. However, Ezekiel goes to visit Carol in the new home. Get it girl! You get it on with Ezekiel!

The Walking Dead Season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
