You might’ve missed a major moment between Sasha and Abraham in The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere.

Remember when Negan chose Abraham to be his first victim? Everyone probably was distracted by the character’s final one-liner, “Suck my nuts.” While it was true to Abraham’s character, that’s not the only thing he said before his death. When saying his last words, Abraham held out two fingers, a peace sign. If you recall, Abraham and Sasha would throw up a peace sign as a way of acknowledging the other. Actor Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham on the show, told ComicBook.com it was an important moment in the show.

"The peace sign was something that read with Abraham and Sasha throughout the whole series. It was this unspoken, very loaded peace sign,” Cudlitz said.

Abraham might’ve had a physical relationship with Rosita, but he was in love with Sasha. She knew what Abraham meant when he held out their special hand signal. Sasha also respected Rosita’s pain when it was time to take Abraham’s body. Sasha let Rosita have her moment with Abraham, which was amazing on her part.

Will there be tension between Sasha and Rosita? Yes, there probably will, especially if Rick and Maggie are divided. For example, if Rick refuses to go against Negan and Maggie decides otherwise, Rosita will likely side with Maggie and Sasha with Rick. Rosita will be quick to say she knew what Abraham wanted, but that’s not the case.

Would Abraham want to revenge over his death? No, not the Abraham we last saw with Sasha. That Abraham wanted to mix the Bisquick with Sasha, like Glenn and Maggie. He wanted to settle down and live again. The Abraham we saw with Rosita was very dark and bitter. Hopefully things don’t get too bad between the ladies.

It’ll be interesting to see the dynamics in Alexandria’s hierarchy change. The Walking Dead Season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
